Besides the core commercial projects of the company Monique participates in various national and international organisations to share her knowledge, to stay up-to-date as well as to stay connected with the technical community. These activities include:

• Acting chair of the Dutch CIGRE Study Committee on electrical rotating machines, NSC A1
• Convenor of the international CIGRE Working Group A1.70 that assesses the use of dielectric disspation factor measurements on complete stator windings
• Member of IEC TC2 MT10, Maintenance team of IEC that deals with the standards in the field of qualification, evaluation and diagnostics of insulation systems of rotating electrical machines
• Convenor of CIGRE Working Group A1.39 that accomplished in 2019 a brochure dealing with dielectric dissipation factor measurements on single bars and coils

In August 2020 Monique was honoured a CIGRE Technical Council Award for her large dedication, commitment and active involvement in the way she took the lead in the workgroup process.

Other activities include the frequent attendance of various Conferences and Symposia on the subject of electrical insulation such as the IEEE Electrical Insulation Conferences held in USA and Canada, CIGRE Colloqia and the INSUCON Conferences in the UK.
